RescueTime loves us
Yesterday “TechCrunch covered”:http://www.techcrunch.com/2007/05/04/rescue-time-automated-time-management-meets-web-20/ a new time tracking startup called “RescueTime”:http://www.rescuetime.com.
The idea itself appealed to me. From the vague “semi-stealth” website, it’s like “HackyStat”:http://www.hackystat.org/ for all knowledge workers not just developers. It seems to be a desktop application that uploads information on what apps and websites you’re using to the web so that you can accurately track your time.
I know I would _love_ to see that information. I can’t wait for them to launch.
What made me love the company even more though is that I can see “JIRA”:http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira and “Confluence”:http://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence are both in the top 10 apps of whoever made their “product tour”:http://www.rescuetime.com/product_tour/.
Such a nice way to wake up – thanks RescueTime guys – we love you too! (Or will, I think, after you launch
)
We *DO* love you, though sometimes I don’t love all of the JIRA items that are assigned to me.
Two of the RescueTime guys use Atlassian’s lovely product for our “day jobs”. Good stuff!
