How you know you hired the right guy…
… when he blogs, spends his last day at his old job getting feedback on what he should do at his new one – oh and take home a bottle of scotch.
“This”:http://www.chatterwocky.com/blog/?p=10 is definitely the best ever post by someone _about_ to join “our company”:http://www.atlassian.com.

Some good advice for everyone here:
bq. I liked that because while I’ve always viewed my tendency towards autonomy as a good thing – I will often put my head down and crank on a project for days at a time, it’s true that I haven’t necessarily always been the most transparent about the status and eta of a project. One thing I will strive to do at my new job is quickly and clearly identify the expectations, milestones, deliverables and deadlines of my projects. Luckily, Atlassian makes a product that is perfect for that – “Confluence”:http://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence.
“Michael”:http://www.chatterwocky.com/ – welcome on board!
