Glassed Update
“Graham Glass”:http://radio.weblogs.com/0109134/2004/05/25.html#a197, one of my Java technology idols (yes – he took on a very tough tech challenge and won – who among you would have built your own SOAP and XML stacks with so many out there? there’s a reason he’s the “Ace of Diamonds”:http://www.middleware-company.com/whoswho/!) actually “reads this blog regularly”:http://radio.weblogs.com/0109134/2004/05/25.html#a197 – so I thought I’d better write something otherwise he’d get bored.
(ps – for reference the picture is hand drawn by myself of myself – I believe I was screaming with some friends on New Year’s Eve – but I agree it’s hard to tell that from the slightly stylised drawing)
(pps – not disrespect to Graham, but I think “Eugene”:http://www.eugenebelyaev.com/begblog/ got shortchanged by not being the Ace of Diamonds
– Glue and Electric XML are fantastic, but I have to say that IDEA has truly changed the entire way we _all_ do Java development – an amazing achievement)
Life has been extremely busy as usual, hence the lack luster speed of my postings here recently. I’ve bought a brilliant new warehouse apartment (it used to be the Lee & Perrins Worscestershire sauce factory in Sydney – trivia), Atlassian is going along very nicely (“JIRA”:http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira 3.0 will be our biggest release yet, and “Confluence”:http://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence 1.1 will be out any day now with some really neat stuff), we’re in the final stages of looking for more office space in the city, and we are – as usual – always looking for smart people.
bq. If you’re in Sydney and consider yourself a Java guru, who wants to have the best job in town – “let us know”:http://www.atlassian.com/about/jobs.jsp
Anyway, I must get along and actually do some work – I hope you all enjoyed reading this scintillating post – more later
