IDEA GUI builder released (#823)

IDEA’s GUI builder has finally been released, and aren’t we all just itching to play with it? I am.

• Get it here (changes)
• Plenty of posts in the forum about the GUI builder already.

  I applaud Eugene and troops for taking such a bold stand on this.

  Yes – you need to bundle an IDEA GUI components JAR with your application.

  Yes – you can’t edit, tweak or play with the code of the GUI.

  Yes – it uses bytecode manipulation to insert it’s GUI elements.

  Everyone’s yelling about this – personally, it suits me fine. If it works well, I’ll use it. If the points above mean IntelliJ can write a better GUI editor, fantastic!
